The Church has a beautiful location at the head of the Penryn estuary. I attended Sunday Mass here recently, which rather than "High Anglican" as it was several years ago, is now very Anglo-Catholic. The bread and wine was offered as a sacrifice, for example. The sermon addressed the folly of the Church of England merging with the Methodists, as undermining the importance of ordination. There were good rousing Hymns sung, however, old favourites. The congregation were generally elderly, so the Church needs, I feel, to look to its future and actively proclaim the good news of the Gospel to the lost of the parish and beyond.
